What is it?

NineFive was a centralized platform designed to revolutionize the way freelancers and their clients collaborate and manage projects. It streamlined the sharing of project updates, files, and progress into a single, accessible location, facilitating seamless communication and feedback.

Problem to be solved

Freelancers and small service teams were losing time, transparency, and client trust because every project conversation, file, and status update lived in a different tool (email, chat, cloud drive, Trello boards, etc.). NineFive set out to collapse that sprawl into one shared workspace.

We asked a number of solo and small businesses how they manage client workflow. They currently use:

Email - 60%

Dropbox & other file sharing - 20%

Project management & chat tools - 20%

Their setup has repetitive client requests, poor project tracking and lots of frustration.

UX global approach

NineFive was built around one idea: centralization saves freelancers time. With limited hours, they need to stack projects, automate busy-work, and keep everything in one place so growth isn’t capped by scattered tools. To make that possible, I designed an atomic, feature-based platform tied together by a single design system. Every workflow is visual and searchable at a glance, so users spend minutes—not hours—tracking files, status, and client feedback. The result: freelancers run like real businesses, without hitting a glass ceiling. SourcesDemander à ChatGPT

The reward

Within a few months we onboarded several hundred active users.

  • 17 % logged in daily

  • 26 % returned weekly

Their feedback echoed our goal: NineFive’s unified, interconnected UX was finally giving freelancers one clear workspace instead of a patchwork of tools.

Rising LLMs

Back in 2022 we were already exploring how LLMs could streamline everyday work. Funding ran out before we could finish, but the direction was right: even in 2025 there’s still no truly centralized way to feed rich, project-level context into LLMs. NineFive was aiming to solve exactly that gap.
